gpp software package provides A general-purpose preprocessor with customizable syntax, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gpp
gpp is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gpp package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gpp *
You will get with gpp package name, version, architecture and description in a table
